Cookie Policy
A plain-language explanation of the cookies and local browser storage this website uses, and how you can control them at any time.
Last updated: August 1, 2026
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. Local storage and session storage are similar browser mechanisms that let a site remember information between page views. Together we refer to them as "browser storage."
2. What we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the Site to function. These include storage that remembers your cookie-notice choice so the notice is not shown repeatedly, and, for the site operator only, an authentication token that maintains an administrator session. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
Functional / preference
Used to remember interface state, such as selections and filters on the interactive community map so that a shared link reproduces the intended view.
Analytics
We may use limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and how the Site performs. Analytics data is used in aggregate and is not used to build advertising profiles.
Advertising
We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
3. Third-party storage
Certain infrastructure providers — hosting, content delivery, database and authentication services, and embedded fonts or maps — may set their own necessary storage or receive technical request data when a page loads. Their practices are governed by their own policies. Third-party websites we link to are entirely outside our control.
4. Your choices
- Use the cookie notice to accept all storage or limit it to what is strictly necessary.
- Block, limit, or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all provide per-site controls.
- Browse in a private or incognito window so storage is discarded on exit.
- Enable browser-level privacy signals such as Global Privacy Control.
Blocking strictly necessary storage may cause parts of the Site — including the cookie notice itself and administrative sign-in — to behave unexpectedly.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Site evolves. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. See also our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
6. Contact
Questions about cookies may be submitted through our contact form, the only contact channel offered on this Site.
